[NEWS] JYJ, “No casting offer yet… we believe in KBS’s fairness”
[OSEN=Na Young Choi Reports] While the group JYJ (Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu) has proved their popularity by sweeping on-line charts without any TV appearances, fans’ interests are now focused on whether JYJ can appear on music programs or not.
According to ‘Olleh Music’ on Sep 16, JYJ’s first Korean album <In Heaven> that includes the songs revealed during their World Tour Concert topped the social chart by monopolizing the first, second and third place [of the chart] at the second week of its release.
This achievement is more meaningful because they achieved this result without any appearances in music programs, not like other artists who released albums at the same period.
Also the album, which is due to be released on SEP 27 recorded 300,000 copies of preorder, is temporarily out of stock at all online purchasing sites and it caused emergency to supply ordered quantity because they had a flood of orders from the countries including Japan, China and many other Asian countries. However, it is still difficult to see JYJ on any music programs including major broadcasting channels.
“There has not been any casting offers for TV appearances yet. But we are watching the situation as the album has not been released yet” said C-JeS Entertainment, in charge of JYJ’s management.
C-JeS continued, “KBS said that it regulates [JYJ’s] appearances on music programs because of the legal dispute with the former management company and we made official complaint that the court already had ruled twice that JYJ would be guaranteed their [free] entertainment activities. KBS accepted this and announced that there would be no problems when JYJ releases official [Korean] album.”, “We believe in fairness of broadcasting and want to make appearances [on TV] for fans who have been waiting for JYJ’s new album for a long time”.
But JYJ does not only focus on TV appearances with their album release. “JYJ mainly focuses on having successful concerts in Japan and Europe (as the first Korean artists to perform in Spain and Germany), and now they are preparing various ways to meet the public besides TV appearances”, explained a marketing staff of JYJ’s album.
JYJ already revealed the title song <Get Out> by LG Mobile advertisement first and would open the specialized video community to interact with international fans soon. Also they are preparing donation project for patients and disadvantaged people they met while acting as honorary ambassadors throughout the year of 2011.
